Thanks to Jon for organising the first informal FPV racing meet at BBRC, Devon, in the UK.
I’m pretty sure this was one of the first fpv races in the UK, unless anyone knows different – comment below please !
This was the 3rd practice race with 3 quads, really close racing so great fun. A few other people had quads not running due to various problems, so could have been 5-6 up.
Jon was running a custom carbon frame with emax MT1806 2280kv motors and Naze32 controller I think, was having video problems which handicapped him.
Matt was running a FPV250 frame with MT1804 2480kv motors on 4S!
My quad specs are below. FPV250L frame from hobbyking (with cage) RCX 1804 2400kv Afro 12A ESC’s Gemfan 5×3 props,
KK2 flight controller running RC911 v1.6++ firmware in SL Mixing flight mode, gains are 40, stick scaling 75 on cyclic.
Fatshark 5.8ghz video transmitter
ebay £8 pair circular polarised antenna (silver springy wire/90deg plug versions)
Fatshark 600TVL camera (for FPV view as no latency/delay)
Mobius camera for recording 720p 30fps wide high bit rate
